Gear up dumpling lovers and soy sauce fans because Fine & Fettle is back with its infamous offer of $1 dumplings! That’s right, you can eat your body weight in doughy bundles for less than you’d pay for a couple of lettuces.
Cocktails and cheap dumplings are the key themes for the evening and if you ask us, it’s the perfect combination.
Not for the first time, the Stepney venue will transform its back function room into the ultimate dumpling disco with the only limitation being your appetite.
Kicking off on June 24th from 5pm, there are multiple 90-minute sittings throughout the night which basically means you have 90-minutes to consume your body weight in dumplings and challenge accepted.
And with so many delicious flavour combinations to try, you’ll never get sick of the endless amount of dumpling (not that you ever could). We’re talking tofu and cabbage, pork and chive, steamed prawn, steamed scallop and, for all our gluten free friends out there, a GF mushroom and tofu option.
After a huge success with its previous Dollar Dumpling Days and Dumpling Disco’s, if you haven’t yet seen what all the fuss is about, now is your chance.

Fine & Fettle opened in 2017 from the founder of popular Port Elliot New Years festival The Sailing Club, Kitchen & Catering by Sam, and since-closed CBD bar Jack Ruby, Sam Worrall-Thompson. The eatery is a Japanese-influenced eats hotspot, perfect for a boozy brunch with friends or a coffee in their natural-toned venue.
Menu items include Japanese fried egg noodles, brekkie bowls with poached eggs and pumpkin hummus, and chargrilled salmon belly with edamame and avocado. We love that, even on top of their regularly stacked menu, they still opt to host themed nights like their upcoming dollar dumplings event.
Already a proven winner because they’ve hosted dollar dumpling days in the past, the event is sure to book up quickly, so be sure to book ahead if you’re keen to get a seat! Reservations are essential.
