On September 6th, new South Australian event company, Had To Be There, threw a huge 1920s themed launch party.
Dressed head to toe in 1920s themed attire, guests were wined and dined by Low and Slow American BBQ in the decadent prohibition era setting of the fully transformed Entropy Venue. Talented event stylists, Seed and Willow, pulled out all the stops, with the ‘Had To Be There Casino,’ which created a movie like aura. Against the classic jazz tunes from The Atlantic Street band, guests were transported to another time.
Sexy South Australian dance troop, The Silhouettes, put on a show stopping performance for guests, performing a toe tapping, wolf whistling Charleston floorshow, complete with large fur coats, feather boas. The dance floor well and truly kicked off, with guests joining The Silhouettes for a Charleston and, later, a good old fashioned boogie to music mixed by DJ Bnads.
Carrie Johnson, owner of Had To Be There, said that The Silhouettes “set the scene” for the prohibition style event, and was thrilled with the outcome of the launch.
With such a happy boss, there’s no doubt we’ll be seeing many more amazing Had To Be There events to come.
