18th Street Hotpot

18th Street Hotpot opened the doors to their brand-new and highly anticipated Henley Beach location. And as no surprise whatsoever, it’s already drawing crowds. The store is the cult-favourite brand’s biggest yet, seating around 60 diners and a bold new look to match the seaside suburb.

Adore Beauty

Beauty lovers of Adelaide were in for a bit of a treat this month, as an iconic online retailer opens the doors to its first-ever brick-and-mortar South Australian store.
If you’ve ever spent an evening scrolling through pages and pages to find the perfect shampoo or have been on a mission to find a lip liner that’s a slightly different shade to the ones in your handbag, chances are you’ve checked out Adore Beauty. The brand was founded 25 years ago with the goal of bringing the best in beauty to Aussies.

Ashton Hills – Reopened

This month, Ashton Hills swung open the doors of their cellar door after a three-month winter pause. Here, guests can settle inside or along a new window bench that runs almost the full length of the room, glass in hand, taking in the changing light over the valley.

CHANGE

Adelaide has never seen a health and wellness destination quite like this. CHANGE, the boutique House of Health concept that redefined fitness when it launched in Broadbeach in 2020, opened its first South Australian location this spring at the landmark 88 O’Connell development in North Adelaide.

Eccoci

The newest addition to Burnside Village’s dining scene opened this month, and it comes with decades of Adelaide hospitality history behind it. Eccoci (Italian for “here we are”) is the latest venture from Roberto Cardone, the man who helped define South Australia’s Italian dining landscape with the Cibo empire.

Ginny Pig Distillery

The gumtree-lined backroads of Tooperang might sound like an unlikely setting for one of South Australia’s most award-winning distilleries, but for Ginny Pig’s founders, that’s the whole point. By husband-and-wife duo Bec and Craig Cooper, their new distillery is bringing gin flights, cocktails, a share-style menu, and a friendly country setting.

Huami

This month, the doors open on Adelaide’s newest premium dining destination, Huami. Meaning ‘nectar’, Huami calls SkyCity Adelaide home and is celebrating Chinese culinary artistry through the finest local ingredients and contemporary techniques.

Hunter & Barrel

Hunter & Barrel – the internationally awarded steakhouse celebrated for its fire-grilled feasts and barrel-aged craft spirits – is about to set Adelaide alight. The luxury dining destination officially opens on October 30th inside the iconic former Fishbank site on the corner of North Terrace and King William Street.

Icardi’s

For months, O’Connell Street has been guessing. Burgundy tones through the blinds, cryptic glimpses across social media, and whispers of a venue inspired by Greek mythology. The reveal is finally here, and it comes with a family story and a menu rooted in Euro classics.
Icardi’s is the debut restaurant from Jared Chahoud, a son paying tribute to his father, Gaby, a well-known figure on O’Connell Street, with a venue that reads like a love letter in courses.

Jane’s Fault

Stepping into the space at 23 Peel Street, you’re met with a fit-out that could only be from someone with an eye for design. Officially opening this month, Jane’s Fault is the moody, impressionist-inspired brainchild of interior designer Jane K.

Lola’s

It’s not every day you walk into a wine bar and get instantly floored by the fit-out. Up until last month this Norwood address was East End Cellars, but you’d hardly recognise it now. Lola’s opened her doors this October. She’s sexy, feminine, and playful, but the design – with velvet curtains, marble benchtops and more shades of pink than you can count – sets her up as much more than a place for a daytime drink.

New Mantraa Indian Cuisine – Reopened

A much-loved local Indian restaurant has made its return to Adelaide, with the Sidhu family reopening their popular eatery in a brand-new Kensington Park location. The restaurant, which was a community favourite in Greenacres for over a decade, first opened around 2013 and became known for its homestyle cooking, friendly service, and warm family atmosphere.

The Laneway Social

The Laneway Social, formerly the Belgian Beer café, opened its doors yesterday with a new look and a mouth-watering new menu. Gone are the dark wood timbers of the Belgian Beer café, and everything has been re-tiled with light and bright furnishings and a whole lot of greenery.

Tiffany & Co. Burnside

Inspired by Tiffany’s legendary Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, the Burnside boutique aspires to be more than just a store – it’s an experience. Its facade is a total showstopper, covering over 400 square metres and rising 15 metres high. The design is the largest of its kind in South Asia Pacific, and features a shimmering ceramic installation that pays homage to Favrile glass, an innovation by Louis Comfort Tiffany, the House’s first Art Director, back in the late 1800s. The kaleidoscope of colour is the backdrop to intricate mosaic birds, inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s iconic ‘Bird on a Rock’ brooch, which has been captivating jewellery lovers since 1965.

Adelaide’s coffee scene has a new player, with Zarraffa’s Coffee officially opening its first flagship South Australian store in Munno Para. The launch marks a major milestone for the Queensland-born brand, which has more than 80 locations across Australia and has chosen Adelaide’s north as the home of its next phase.
