On Saturday 1st December, 2012 Adelaide will brace itself for chaos as UK boy band sensation One Direction opens a 1D World pop-up store in the heart of the city just in time for the holidays.
For a limited time, fans will have the opportunity to shop for exclusive merchandise and experience everything “One Direction.”

“With the release of One Direction’s second album “Take Me Home”, the band is giving Adelaide the opportunity to experience a true 1D World,” said Derek Glover, Director of Stage 5 (Australasia) Pty Ltd, the organisation responsible for Adelaide pop up store.
The recent MTV Video Music Award winners will offer fans exclusive merchandise never seen before and available only at 1D World.
There will be more than 125 different products to choose from. Available for purchase will be the awesome new Onesies that everyone is talking about. Plus T-Shirts, varsity jackets, hats, posters and much more!
Fans will also have the opportunity to win various One Direction prizes during the grand opening. The UK band has sold more than 12 million records and their album, Take Me Home, is currently top of the ARIA Album Charts. The band’s single Little Things has gone straight into the ARIA Single’s Chart at number 9.
Adelaide will be the 9th city in the world to experience 1D World and true One Direction mania. 1D World has had phenomenal success all around Australia, Canada and the USA including the biggest ever store which opened last week (November 14) in New York.
Thousands of screaming fans have been present at the openings, standing in line chanting and singing their favorite One Direction tunes – the Adelaide opening is expected to be no different.
“The response we had in New York last week was simply unreal,” said Derek. “One Direction’s fans are like no other and are incredibly loyal.”
As a special offer, those visiting the store on opening day will have the chance to win 1D World prizes that will leave “Directioners” screaming for more with the 100th shopper winning a double pass to one of their SOLD OUT Adelaide One Direction concerts in September 2013.
