Macarons are fabulous things. Chewy and crunchy, with a mind-blowing filling, a good macaron is like stepping into a heated house on a cold day (aka bloody brilliant).
In case you can’t already tell, we love macarons. Given that, we were absolutely thrilled to hear that The Macaron Bar has announced another $2 Macaron Day, and even more thrilled to find out it was happening in Flinders Street (a mere hop, skip, and jump from the Glam office).
The Macaron Bar is the brainchild of baker Alex, and boasts a myriad of the sweet treats, with out-of-the-box flavours including redskin, sherbet, and breakfast cereal.
Last time $2 Macaron Day was held, Alex says she sold out within 45 minutes of being open. This year, she tells us she has some ground rules. Each person will be limited to 20 macarons. Alex hopes this will be enough to satisfy her customers whilst not leaving others disappointed.
Alex says there will also be various other sweet food stalls at $2 Macaron Day. We’ve heard rumours that cupcakes, dessert boxes, cookies, and other products will be available for purchase.
$2 Macaron Day is set to take place on Sunday 28 July for four hours only. It will be held at 230 Flinders Street, Adelaide City (in the big blue shed).
