2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival

BigPond Adelaide Film Festival Director Katrina Sedgwick will reveal highlights of the festival’s 2011 program this Tuesday 30 November, including the 14 new Australian projects invested in by the festival that will have their world premieres at BAFF 2011.  The Chairman Cheryl Bart will unveil the dynamic 2011 BAFF Poster. Find out which films we’ll be talking about in 2011.

Katrina will also announce special international guests and exciting new program strands, as BAFF 2011 spills out of cinemas, into galleries and screens, through the streets of Adelaide, onto the beach and even into the kitchen.

The 2011 program will consolidate BAFF’s position as the most innovative and creative film festival in Australia, showcasing the best of international screen culture and also investing in new and exciting Australian films through its investment arm – the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund (AFFIF). In 2009, the AFFIF slate included the multi-award winning Samson & Delilah, which went on from BAFF to win the Camera D’Or at Cannes.

Winner of the 2007 IF Award for Best Film Festival and listed in Variety Magazine’s Top 50 Unmissable Film Festivals, the biennial BigPond Adelaide Film Festival (BAFF) returns from 24 February to 6 March 2011.

The BigPond Adelaide Film Festival full program will be launched in January 2011.
