Oakbank and Clare Valley Races Fun

Where: Oakbank Racing Course

SACOME 2011 Treasure Hunt

Where: University of Adelaide, City Campus.

The South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy (SACOME) is celebrating the third year of its mineral resources Treasure Hunt with an extra special treat this year- a performance by interactive rock musical duo, Rock Chick and Science Geek.

The treasure hunt is a FREE interactive discovery trail for primary school children (aged eight to 12) interested in science.  This year’s hunt is promised to be super fun as participants seek out the answers to cryptic clues, handle sparkling crystals and minerals and delve deep into a 3D world under the earth’s crust. Each participant will receive a goodie bag and be in with a change to win prizes on completion of the hunt.

Mix It Up- Multi-Media Art Exhibition

Where: Showgrounds Main South Road, Yankalilla.

When: From April 22-April 25

Mix It Up is a multi-media art exhicition held annually at the Yankalilla showgrounds Supper hall.  The exhibition will be open from April 22 to April 25 from 9:30am to 4pm.  22 artisits will be represented with a diverse and eclectic range of unique work, available to purchase direct from the artists themselves.

The art on show ranges from: textile art, basketry, jewellery, wearable art, art quilts, felted works, paintings and much more.

La Bomba Easter Latino Carnival

Rumberos, Melbourne’s finest Afro Latino Orquestra is one of Melbourne’s favourite Latin bands.  The popular Latino band is well-known for their vibrant and high-energy gigs, packing the dance floor whenever they are on stage.

Planet Cream Adelaide (Creamfields Australia 2011)

Creamfield Australia is back and bigger for Easter in Adelaide this year.  Headlining the festival will be the popular Deadmau5, in Adelaide with his LED live show for the first time.  Joining him will be a cast of other stars on the Creamfield’s festival lineup including: Skrillex, Martin Solveig, Bingo Players and Surkin.

The impressive dance festival begins at 2pm and goes for a whopping 10 hours.

Electro and Trance music fans- this event is a not-to-miss this Easter weekend!

Heaven goes Greek
