The Adelaide Fashion Festival has announced an impressive line-up of designers in 2014 for the SA Designers Fashion Showcase – the premiere event of the Festival – to be on held Saturday, 18th October.

From distinguished designers such as Liza Emanuele and Jaimie Sortino, to exciting up-and-coming designers like Designer Duchess and Chelsea Eve, the established designers component showcases some of the best talent the South Australian fashion industry has to offer, with twelve confirmed labels for this event.

Adelaide Fashion Festival Coordinator, Cristina Tridente, said, “The Adelaide Fashion Festival provides a unique opportunity for local designers to flaunt their talent and craftsmanship as part of the most renowned fashion event in the state.”

Nayia La Scala, founder of Designer Duchess, was one of the first designers to register with the program this year.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to promote my label and the beauty of faux fur In fashion, but at the same time, raise awareness about the inhumane treatment of animals.

“Educating consumers about fur products, I take pride in manufacturing my own materials so that Designer Duchess can provide affordable, fashionable and ethical alternatives to fur,” said Miss La Scala.

Chelsea Templeton, founder and designer of Chelsea Eve, was also quick to sign up to the main event to ensure her brand continues to grow.

Chelsea Eve is a fun and flirty label that focuses on soft and playful details whilst wanting to maintain a strong, bold edge.

Other distinguished South Australian designers involved this year include Jamie Sortino, Greta Kate, casper&pearl, couture+love+madness, Malachi Empire, Necia, Georgia Guy, Namoi and Orbin Collective.

Ranging from couture gowns to fashion chic daywear, the SA Designers Fashion Showcase encompasses a variety of styles to entice all fashion lovers.

Running from 17 – 26 October, the Adelaide Fashion Festival heads in to its seventh consecutive year this year with an impressive ten-day program.
