The Adelaide Fashion Festival is back again for another year, having made the transition from the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters to the State Government.
Events SA, the new festival owners, have released this year’s dates, locking in October 22-25 for a shorter, but more focused festival.
The three day fashion festival will have a series of events primarily showcasing South Australian fashion and designers.
Over the past seven years the Adelaide Fashion Festival has steadily grown in profile, while providing a number of South Australian designers such as Greta Rumsby, Cristina Tridente, Jamie Sortino and Melanie Flintoft with valuable exposure.
Paul Vasileff (Paolo Sebastian label) featured his collection at the first Adelaide Fashion Festival, and has since gone on to sell his wedding dresses in New York and dress some of the Hollywood’s biggest stars.
This year Adelaide based fashion company Australian Fashion Labels have been invited to take part.
In 2015 University of South Australia graduate and Vogue China editor, Angelica Cheung has also been invited to attend.
