2016 Banff Mountain Film Festival Arrives

The Banff Mountain Film Festival has announced its 2016 line up of high-octane, extreme sports short films which will screen for two sessions only, both on Sat 21 May.

The 2016 Australian tour of the Banff Mountain Film Festival is jam packed with inspiration and award winning films.

This year, the high-octane, extreme-action short film festival will take you from Mexico to Canada on the backs of brumbies with a band of cowboys and one very spirited donkey, in the People’s Choice Award winning film Unbranded.

You will take an exciting, fast-paced ride with some of the world’s most talented skiers and mountain bikers and you’ll watch in awe as some seriously hardcore female climbers smash a Yosemite record in Women’s Speed Ascent.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival will push the boundaries of what is achievable with a bunch of self professed weekend warriors in the film 55 Hours in Mexico. It will also take you to barren and inhospitable landscapes to capture one of the most illusive photos imagined in the film Eclipse, winner of the Best Snow Sports Award.

Screening for two sessions only, both on Saturday 21 May 2016, the 3-hour festival can be caught at the Capri Cinema, 141 Goodwood Road, Goodwood at either 3pm or 7.30pm. See the full line up of films and book your tickets early on the Banff Mountain Film Festival website.
