The Adelaide Motorsport Festival has confirmed new dates for its 2025 event. Organisers have announced that the festival will take place on March 8 and 9, which sees it occurring a week later than initially planned. This change comes in the wake of last night’s release of the FIA Formula 1 calendar that resulted in the adjustments. The Adelaide Motorsport Festival continues to hold its position as the event preceding the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne.
Event Director, Tim Possingham, provided clarity on the change, saying, “This is a week later than expected but still places our event in our traditional time window.”
Additionally, attendees at the 2025 Adelaide Motorsport Festival can look forward to the return of an incredible participant from the previous year: the Mazda 767B sportscar. This vehicle, currently based in Japan, was a crowd favourite at the festival in 2024. The organisers have secured its return to participate in on-track demonstrations throughout the event.
“This car proved to be very popular this year and we can’t ignore the fact that people want to see it return. This time though it’s likely to be a lot louder as it will have a new straight out exhaust system next time it visits. We are also working on a sister car to this one to attend along with several other Le Mans cars,” added Possingham.
With the dates now set, organisers have advised that tickets for the Adelaide Motorsport Festival will be available for purchase in the coming weeks.
Spectators from last year’s festival might recall the Mazda 767B’s thrilling performance and those attending this year will be eager to witness its reappearance. The choice of the new dates ensures the continued partnership with the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix and cements Adelaide Motorsports Festival’s standing in the motorsports events calendar.
