A range of exotic and classic cars will give new meaning to Meals on Wheels this month.

Meal on Wheels SA (MoWSA) has once again been named a key beneficiary of the world-class exhibition of classic motorcars and charity fundraising event, Celebration of the Motorcar.

Celebration of the Motorcar will showcase a range of luxury, prestigious and exotic cars in the grounds of Carrick Hill.

This is the second year that Celebration of the Motorcar has thrown its support behind the State’s largest community-based volunteer organisation with an unprecedented display of South Australia’s finest cars.

This year’s event, to be held on Sunday 26 April at Carrick Hill in Springfield between 10am and 3.30pm, will showcase approximately $20 million worth of rare and classic cars.

These include Maserati, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Porsche, Jaguar, Bentley, Ferrari and Aston Martin. In addition to the car display, members of the public can enjoy live classical music performances, food and refreshments, as well as the wonderful gardens of Carrick Hill Estate.

Meals on Wheels SA CEO, Mrs. Sharyn Broer, said MoWSA was thrilled to once again be partnering with this world-class luxury car exhibition.

“We are very proud to be benefiting, alongside other Rotary Club of Adelaide beneficiaries, from this year’s special event,” she said.

“Celebration of the Motorcar is again set to exhibit a wonderful selection of the world’s finest and rarest collectable cars owned in South Australia – it is an absolute privilege to be involved.

“For more than 60 years, Meals on Wheels SA has provided a much-needed community service to people in need.

“Our remarkable volunteers deliver a daily meal to many thousands of Meals on Wheels clients who are unable to shop or cook for themselves with ease, including; older people, those with a chronic or acute illness, post-operatively, those with a disability or who have a carer role.

“They also provide a friendly smile, welcome social contact and a check that people are ‘safe and well’.

“We are delighted that our significant service to the community is set to benefit from this exclusive fundraising event.”

Celebration of the Motorcar will be held on Sunday 26 April at Carrick Hill in Springfield from 10.00am to 3.30pm.

Tickets: Adults $25, Children (6-16) $10, Family $60, VIP pass $95.
