In the lead up to Mother’s Day, global skincare company Jurlique has revealed the winner of their annual design competition, and a South Australian took the top spot! 22-year-old Hilary Sheedy beat hundreds of submissions from around the world with her delicate and heartfelt design, which will now feature on Jurlique’s 2025 Mother’s Day collection.
This year, submissions came from nine different countries. Yet, fittingly, it was a South Aussie artist who captured the hearts of the judges. Just like Hilary, Jurlique is from South Australia, beginning in the Adelaide Hills 40 years ago. Now in its second year, the competition has become a beautiful yearly tradition, inviting artists from around the world to submit work inspired by the brand’s ethos, nature, connection, and care.
Hilary’s artwork beautifully captures both the essence of her own experiences and memories shared with her mother, as well as the natural beauty of Jurlique’s farm-grown botanicals in a way that resonated both visually and emotionally.

“My inspiration came from a few different bunches of flowers that Mum and I had exchanged over the last few Mother’s Days and birthdays,” Hilary explains.
“My mum was once a florist, so flowers have always been her number one present for giving and receiving! Each bouquet holds a special memory, and I wanted to capture the essence of those moments in my artwork.”
Created digitally using Adobe Illustrator, Hilary’s piece is a layered floral arrangement. It will adorn the packaging of Jurlique’s 2025 gift sets, which have been curated to suit a range of skin types and routines.
“I created this artwork in Adobe Illustrator, using the paint feature. My inspiration came from a few different bunches of flowers that Mum and I had exchanged over the last few Mother’s Days and birthdays,” she explained.

With the winning artwork coming from Jurlique’s own backyard, it adds an extra layer of meaning to an already heartfelt tradition.
Jurlique’s 2025 Mother’s Day collection, featuring Hilary’s design, is available now online and in stores, just in time to spoil Mum with something truly special.
