50 registered nurses will be deployed to Victoria over the coming weeks.

South Australia’s Premier, Steven Marshall, joined by SA Health Chief Nurse Jennifer Hurley to announce SA’s support of Victoria’s COVID-19 outbreaks.

A further 50 registered nurses will be deployed over the coming weeks to Victoria.

These nurses will be helping the aged-care sector in particular.

SA Health’s Executive Director of Nursing, Rebecca Badcock will be leading the team.

The team includes experts in delivering aged care infection control, and a logistics support team.

Early this month, 29 clinicians made of nurses and paramedics were flown to Melbourne.

In addition, 20 contact tracers from the SA Health team were tasked with investigating the Melbourne outbreaks, stationed in Adelaide.
