$60 million renovation revealed for Hilton Adelaide following acquisition

Amora Hotels and Resorts has acquired the iconic Hilton Adelaide and announced a $60 million renovation plan to upgrade its facilities.

Amora Hotels and Resorts has officially announced the acquisition of the Hilton Adelaide and has revealed plans for a $60 million renovation project. The purchase was formalised during a signing ceremony on June 16th, with the attendance of Chairwoman Amornrat Siriphatrawan and directors Earp Siriphatrawan, Chatkaew Siriphatrawan, and Eye Siriphatrawan.

Earp Siriphatrawan shared, “This acquisition is a major milestone in our strategy to expand Amora’s presence in Australia’s key gateway cities. Adelaide’s dynamic events calendar, thriving business environment, and vibrant cultural scene make it an ideal location for Amora to grow and invest in.”

The renovation will be led by Cottee Parker Architects, and the project will see an overhaul of all aspects of the hotel, including rooms, dining venues, wellness areas, and event spaces. These renovations hope to align the Hilton Adelaide with Amora’s luxury benchmarks established in their properties across Australia and Thailand.

The Hilton Adelaide is centrally located in the city’s heart and has 377 rooms, 20 conference and meeting rooms, two restaurants and bars, a business lounge, a tennis court, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The planned upgrades will bring these facilities to meet high-end standards that cater to perfectly suit the needs of travellers.

Vice President of Operations, Tamar Habib, shared, “Expanding into Adelaide gives us the opportunity to elevate the guest experience with top-tier service and upgraded facilities, in a new location. With these renovations, we aim to create a destination that blends exceptional comfort, dining, and event spaces, making it the perfect choice for both business and leisure travellers.”

Amora Hotels and Resorts is a major player in the independent hotel sector within the Asia-Pacific region, and has locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok.

The official transfer of ownership was commemorated at the signing ceremony, although the property will continue to operate under Hilton’s management until June 2026.
