8 South Australian locations have been named as finalists as the best places in Australia for visitors over the age of 50 in the Grey Nomad Awards.
From Port Lincoln, to the Flinders Rangers, all the way to Berri, SA is home to some of the best travel spots in the country.
The 2023 award sees 14 categories, including two new ones that recognise government, private and non-for-profit organisations that welcome mature age travellers within Australia, making their lives healthier, happier and safer.
The awards also encourage positive ageing through supporting and promoting soft adventure and social inclusion.
At last year awards, the Booleroo Centre RV Park in the Southern Flinders Range was awarded Gold for the Best Grey Nomad Community Stay.
The Southern Flinders Ranges also took out two more Bronze awards, with the Best Grey Nomad Historic Attraction going to Booleroo Steam and Traction Museum, and Best Grey Nomad Community Stay going to CMCA RV Park Port Pirie.
