Kyle, an 8-year-old ninja warrior from Adelaide, is living proof that sometimes the best paths in life are the unexpected ones.
Kyle is heading to Ninja Worlds in California this July. Yep. He is representing Australia. At 8 years old.
When asked about what it means to compete in the USA at the World Ninja Championships, Kyle’s excitement is contagious.

“I love Ninja Warrior so much, that I’m so excited to go to the USA. I am proud to represent Australia and I can’t wait to compete against other Ninjas in the world,” he says.
Kyle’s journey into the world of Ninja Warrior is as unique as his talent. Traditional sports didn’t fit into his family’s schedule, with much of the week taken up by his sister’s dance and musical theatre commitments. But destiny had a different plan when Ninja Warrior became the perfect fit, quite literally, on the way to dance.
“My sister is very busy with musical theatre, and my mum kept saying no to things I wanted to do. Then Ninja was on the way to dance so she said I could try,” Kyle explains, recalling how what started as a convenient activity quickly turned into his passion.
“I train at Base Camp two times a week in classes. I also go to Base Camp for my own training whenever my mum can take me. I would like to go every day,” he says.
Beyond the ninja gym, Kyle is all about enhancing his fitness and skills through athletics and karate, showing a dedication that goes well beyond his years.

“For extra fitness, I also do athletics and karate. Until I go to Worlds, I am going to train extra hard on obstacles I can’t yet do, and work on my strength and fitness,” he says
“I am excited for competing against the world. I am excited to be representing Australia,” he says.
But it’s not without its nerves, especially when it comes to the long flight over to America. “I am a bit scared about going on the plane to America though as it’s such a long way,” Kyle admits.
Kyle is working hard to get him to California for the World Ninja Championships, but he needs a bit of help. The trip’s not cheap, and every little bit of support can make a big difference. If Kyle’s story has grabbed you, and you feel like chipping in, it would mean the world.
Donations will go towards getting Kyle to the competition—covering his travel, stay, and entry fees. It’s a chance for us all to back a young Aussie representing us on the world stage.
