Maho Magic Bar

Australia’s first Japanese magic bar delighted and stunned audiences at Adelaide Fringe in 2022, garnering rave reviews and a waitlist for tickets.

Now with the ultimate line-up of magicians ever assembled in one show, Maho Magic Bar speeds back to the Fringe ready to astound. With fresh tricksters, fresh tricks and even fresher cocktails, Maho Magic Bar is the dazzling jewel of The Garden of Unearthly Delights.

They Came From Uranus

Cabaret / Burlesque

An outrageous new puppet show for adults performed by Master Puppeteer, Murray Raine is coming to the Adelaide Fringe this year.

This hilarious fifty-five-minute sci-fi cabaret burlesque lands at the Empire Theatre this March and will make you question everything you thought you knew about puppets, burlesque and aliens.

This unique show is performed in its own ornate miniature burlesque theatre and features a dazzling array of shadow puppetry, multi-media projections and “Humanettes”, a rarely seen form of puppetry that comprises the puppeteers head with a puppet’s body.

WHERE: The Empire Theatre Spiegeltent, Rundle Park – Kadlitpina, East Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000.

WHEN: Nightly at 6:30 pm, from Friday the 10th of March – Sunday the 19th of March excluding the 13th and 14th of March.

La Grande Folie

Cabaret / Burlesque

Returning after her standing ovation at Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2022, Imogen Kelly, Australia’s Queen of Burlesque performs her show stopping, jaw dropping, award winning acts from the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.

Whether swinging from a chandelier, dancing in an explosion of feathers, or taking you to the moon and back, Kelly is mesmerising. Journey through Kelly’s most sensational acts, including her sumptuous, world-famous “Let them Eat Cake!”, strung along a string of stories like jewels as Kelly playfully questions “Can Burlesque save the world?”

Dean Misdale – Life’s a Drag

Winner of the Best Cabaret & Variety show at FRINGE WORLD Festival 2022, Dean Misdale is heading to Adelaide Fringe for the first time with Life’s a Drag, playing The Bally at Gluttony.

In this outrageous tale of Dean’s life, audiences will be taken on a reality-shaking rollercoaster ride of what it really takes to be a QUEEN!

Powerhouse vocals, recounts of side-splitting real-life encounters, plus everyone’s favourite diva moments come together in one show-stopping cabaret.

Les Fleures Du Mal

Dance

Les Fleurs du Mal (The Flowers of Evil), based on the poetry of Baudelaire and presented by Shakti & The Garage International, is a confession of hopes, dreams, failures and sins told through performative dance.

The Flowers of Evil attempts to extract beauty from the malignant. One must evoke the artificial and paradoxical aspects of life. Beauty can evolve on its own, irrespective of nature and fuelled by sin. The ideal transcends over the harsh reality where all senses are united in ecstasy.

Get ready for an unforgettable experience! The award-winning international magician Sam King is taking a break from his grand stage performances to bring you the ultimate close-up magic show. With a limited audience of only 20 people per show, you’ll be up close and personal with the magic, making it an incredibly immersive experience that can’t be matched by any stage show.

This is not your average magic show. Ditching the top hat and bunny for Tinder and beer, Fake Wizard takes magic to a ridiculous new territory. I am Woman Smart Doll exhibition

The grandeur begins on Friday March 3, 2023!

In a first for Adelaide, Michael Shrapnel cordially invites you to his Glenelg Art Gallery ‘I Am Woman’ with a Smart Doll Photography Exhibition in the beautiful Promenade Restaurant at Stamford Grand Adelaide.

Smart Dolls are 60cm tall Fashion Dolls made in Japan by the creative studio of Danny Choo, son of fashion designer Jimmy Choo.

The central theme of this unique exhibition is to celebrate the amazing aspects of female energy and strength by showcasing Smart Dolls visiting and exploring not only the grandeur and elegance of Stamford Grand Adelaide, but also beautiful Glenelg.

Sideshow Femmes and Sideshow Themmes

Creator & Producer, Scarlet Tinkabelle, hailing from the sunny city of Brisbane, created the show as a means to bring femme sideshow artists to the forefront of the stage and have a show entirely made for them.
