Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas last toured Australia in 2014, but left Adelaide off the touring calendar at the time. Backed by a full band and a backdrop of images in memory of their former bandmate Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who was tragically killed in a car accident in 2002, many would have wondered if it was the last our country would see of the Grammy-winning 90s hip hop icons…
But to accompany the announcement that they will be releasing a new (and last) album very soon, TLC have announced dates in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne in November with support from this guy:
Make no mistake, T-Boz has stated that she will be retiring soon after the release of the new album so this is likely to be the very last time to see original duo women who changed hip-hop and American music.
TLC and Montell Jordan will perform at Thebarton Theatre on November 22nd this year in a All Ages show. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.
