A+ Australian Wine Celebration Kicks Off In South Australia

Australia’s greatest ever wine celebration kicks off nationwide in April 2012, with close to 100 events taking place across the nation, celebrating the diversity and excellence of our local offerings.

Being the country’s largest wine producing state, South Australia does not miss out on the inaugural celebration with 27 events planned across the state from 12 to 29 April 2012.

The A+ Australian Wine Celebration is set to include an exciting collection of wine, food and music festivals, meet the winemaker opportunities, gourmet dining events and exclusive tasting opportunities.

During the 17-day celebration, wine lovers across this great state will be able to enjoy award-winning wine, spectacular local produce and fabulous entertainment at tastings, parties and wine love-fests everywhere from Yalumba’s own cooperage to an ‘after dark’ tour of Coonawarra wineries during vintage and a twilight tasting in the ‘Piazza delle Vale’ with the Vale Cru, a group of small batch quality winemakers.

Wine Australia’s Regional Director, Aaron Brasher said it was a unique occasion for all Australians to discover more about this country’s wine – its diversity, dynamism and total deliciousness.

“We are thrilled with the extraordinary array events from wineries across SA and it’s great to see the industry getting together with wine lovers to celebrate the state’s great produce at their local winery.

“For two-and-a-half weeks, Australians can celebrate the most diverse, dynamic and exciting wine producing nation in the world as Australian wine flows across our capital cities and many of our most beautiful regional communities,” Brasher added.

Just a few of the local events include:
