A Bavarian style feast is kicking off in Hackney

Taste German sausages, crunchy pork belly, German-style meatballs and more at Moorooroo Park’s ‘Lotties & Lederhosen’ feast this Friday.

Food lovers! If you love a grand German feast, we think we’ve found one for you! Moorooroo Park, a family-owned wine label (with cellar doors located in the Barossa Valley and the CBD), is hosting a Bavarian style feast on Friday 27 May.

The feast will be showcasing Moorooroo’s German sausages – with all the trimmings – accompanied with a glass of its 2017 Lotties Shiraz, which is valued at $59.00 per bottle.

“We’re a winemaking family, but our first love was food,” said Owner, Wyndham House.

“My wife and I are both chefs, so we do all our own food.”

In addition to German sausages, there will be German-style crunchy pork belly, meatballs, and even pork knuckles!

“We’ll have charcoal burning and pork rolls! The flavours are generous and beautiful and we make everything ourselves,” he said.

While there’s no requirement to dress up, the team at Moorooroo Park welcomes all guests who decide to sport their lederhosens.

The bespoke event is self-described as “super casual” with a limited capacity, so tickets will be snapped up quickly.

A German accordion player will also be setting the mood at the stunning Hackney-based cellar door.

The Moorooroo Park cellar door is an 1870s stone-fronted dwelling, adjacent to olive groves, transplanted from the Barossa Valley.

The fully renovated cellar door is quite new, and only a stones throw away from the city – and 200 metres away from the National Wine Centre.

Sporting three private tasting rooms and two alfresco courtyards, Moorooroo Park produces a range of organically grown, hand harvested, boutique wines and two signature beers.

If you can’t visit this gorgeous little gem for the ‘Lotties & Lederhosen’ Bavarian style feast, the team from Moorooroo host a variety of monthly events as well as lead private tastings.

Other events in the pipeline include Cabernet & Cassoulet (August), The Moo Cabernet Franc & Paella (September), Grenache & Gnocchi (October), and The Moo Rosé Sangria & Porchetta (November). To find out more, click here.
