Like your camping with a side of luxury? You can now go glamping amongst the vines at a new eco-luxe site in the heart of the Barossa.
The glamping experience has opened at the Discovery Parks Barossa Valley, with 12 luxury safari tents added to a private part of the park.
With a modern ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, and king-sized bed, each place is less tent and more cosy hotel room.
Outside you can get amongst natures and relax with a bottle of wine on your own private three metre deck, which offers sprawling views over the vines, or settle into the private heated spa, pool, barbeque and lounge area, which is just shared between glamping guests.
Grant Wilckens from Discovery Parks said the safari tents are designed for guests to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature.
“This is a first for the Barossa Valley, and has been modelled off the success of our Byron Bay property,” he said.
“Later this year we will be taking eco-resorts to the next level with the launch of 83 tents on Rottnest Island. Though, you will be hard pressed to find a glamping location that has as much to offer your tastebuds than the Barossa.
The canvas tents are meticulously designed to be environmentally sustainable, and no worries if you’re stuck with some rough weather – they’re wind tolerant up to category 5 cyclones and 100 per cent waterproof.
One night in a safari tent will set you back $250, and you can choose between a king bed or twin beds. More details here.
