As the sun begins to shine and the year comes to a close, it’s time to get in the holiday mood, Adelaide! Christmas has come early to Goodwood Road this year, with the festive spirit drifting through the air at the popular destination.

This Saturday’s Christmas “Sat’dy on Goody” event is hosting a Goody Trail, and those attending it will have a lot of fun along the way. You can collect goodies, enter competitions, enjoy tasty treats, help decorate the Primary School Fence and write to Santa Claus himself. Tickle your tastebuds with juices from Body Institute and try your luck at winning a Family Pass to Peter Combe at the Capri Theatre this December.

Get your Christmas craft on and enter Century 21’s colouring competition for the chance to win one of two ripper scooters and pick up a fruity coconut drink to try while you’re at it.

They’ll be the much-loved face painting and henna tattoo stalls setting up shop this Saturday, and live music for you to enjoy along your journey. Collect your Goody Bag and trail list from Goodwood Pharmacy from 10am before heading out on your Goody Trail adventure, with the festive fun continuing until 1pm (unless otherwise specified).

Lizzie from Kid’s Music and Moves will be entertaining pre-schoolers from 10am, and Simone from Grit Studio Collective will also run a performance workshop at 10.30am.

But it’s not just the Goodwood community getting in the festive spirit! The Goodwood Community Bank Christmas Decoration competition is back this year, with some of the Road’s beloved businesses unleashing their festive creativity to enter the competition to win the 2021 Goody Christmas Crown.

You can vote for your favourite Saturday and be in with a chance to win a $150 Goodwood Community Bank Account – just in time for Christmas – or a Goody Christmas Basket valued at over $300.

Will you vote for Eggless Dessert Cafe, with their very unusual Christmas Tree (make sure you check it out – it’s a ripper!), Father Christmas at Xzibit Hair and Beauty, or perhaps the gorgeous bows at Whisk Patisserie make Whisk your favourite.

There’ll be a Decoration Competition entry list with your Goody Bag on Saturday, and all you have to do is tick your favourite. If you can’t get to Goody Road on Saturday, entry forms will also be collectable from the bank, participating businesses and very soon, you’ll be able to vote online. Entries close Friday, December 10 at the Bank, and Sunday, December 12 online.

Goodwood Road loves its community and visitors, and can’t wait to see you having a ‘Goody’ time on Saturday.
