It’s not every day that a flaming cheese-wheel pasta, country music and cowboy boots come together, but that’s exactly what Godi La Vita is combining for a country-inspired night on King William Road in Hyde Park.
The event is a special country edition of the venue’s Monday night Pasta & Tunes series, inviting cowboys and cowgirls to enjoy live music, a specially created menu and Godi La Vita’s signature theatrical dining experience.
Owner Federico Godi introduced the events to bring more energy to Monday nights south of the city.
After receiving many positive responses from Monday night diners, Federico decided to continue the monthly event, giving guests a lively way to ease into the working week.
From 5pm on Monday July 20, the modern Italian eatery will be filled with country style atmosphere and an exclusive four-course menu, complete with Prosecco on arrival. The full à la carte menu will also be available throughout the evening, to keep the options limitless.
Federico said guests can expect homemade barbecue flavours and a Louisiana-style crab cannoli, which puts an Italian twist on the traditional crab cake.
Award-winning musician Mason Lloyde will provide the soundtrack, performing country favourites from artists including Chris Stapleton, Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton. The Adelaide singer-songwriter appeared on The Voice Australia in 2020 as part of Kelly Rowland’s team and was named Best Live Solo/Duo Singer at the 2024 South Australian ABIA Wedding Awards.
Mason Lloyde is already a familiar performer at Godi La Vita, and Federico said his bluesy, soulful sound made him a natural fit for the country-themed evening.
Checked shirts, cowboy boots and a little western flair are encouraged, with staff already set to don their cowboy hats for the night.
Giddy up for an evening of great tunes and food that will have you forgetting it’s only Monday.

The celebrations continue into the weekend with Godi La Vita’s Spritz on Wheels bottomless lunch.
Inspired by the Godi family’s love of sitting back, sharing plates and enjoying their favourite drinks together, the experience is designed around the tradition of a relaxed Italian long lunch.
Available from noon every Saturday and Sunday, the two-hour experience includes an antipasto grazing board, a choice of pasta, dessert and free-flowing spritzes.
The bottomless lunch has become particularly popular for birthdays and group celebrations, giving guests two hours to enjoy free-flowing spritzes alongside a three-course dining experience, Federico said.
