If your average lunch options are getting a bit old and mundane and you’re feeling a little bit extra, a new pop-up on Rundle Mall might just have exactly what you’re looking for.

For the first time, The Lobster Co has brought its vintage-style caravan to Adelaide to serve up its infamous one-dish menu.  But don’t let the simplicity of the menu fool you. The Lobster Co may just do one meal but they do it very, very well.

Modestly called the ‘Classic Roll’, this sandwich is far from your typical lunch fare. A soft brioche bun filled to the brim with confit Australian lobster tail topped with fennel slaw and cumquat, this luxurious roll can be accompanied only by truffle parmesan fries and of course, a flute of Pommery Champagne. All of this will set you back around $70, which to some may seem excessive but to others, a worthwhile expenditure to get a taste of the craze.

The Lobster Co’s caravan and unique one-item menu has been popping up across Australia and taking the East Coast (and Instagram) by storm successfully living up to its mission statement of creating a luxurious and exclusive culinary experience.

All of the produce used in The Lobster Co rolls is Australian with lobster sourced from WA and fruit and vegetables from South Australia.

We are blessed to have access to some of the best fresh seafood in the country here in SA with eateries such as the CBD’s Fishbank Restaurant and locally owned companies like Ferguson providing us with the best, however when pop-ups like this roll around it’s hard to pass on the opportunity to jump on board.

Located in Gawler Place on the popular Rundle Mall shopping strip, you’ll be able to get your hands on one of these must-try rolls until October 16th when they pack up and take off to their next pop-up location.
