With lockdown ending at midnight tonight, and venues able to accept diners again (insert HUGE applause for South Australians all doing the right thing here) it’s time to find out who’s opening their doors this week, and who’s offering indoor AND/OR outdoor dining. With capacity limited to 1 person per 4 square metres, many venues have severely limited numbers –
Just remember, this time last year (well May 22nd 2020 anyway) when we returned to indoor dining, there was a 10 patron maximum for both indoor and outdoor dining – so at least we’re not facing that!
Please keep in mind that South Australia’s cafes and restaurants have been struggling over the past week, with many losing money, but choosing to stay open by offering takeaway, to help both their staff, their customers. The capacity that each venue can operate with under these new restrictions are seriously limiting for venues, so EVERY CHAIR IS CRITICAL — so please don’t be a jerk and follow some basic etiquette. Also don’t forget to follow social distancing guidelines, wash your hands, and stay safe. We don’t want the stricter restrictions coming back any time soon.
