Backpacks 4 SA Kids INC.

Backpacks for SA Kids is a SA Non-Profit Organisation supporting newborn babies through to teenagers who are placed into foster or emergency care. They provide clothes and personal supplies to children placed in emergency foster care, domestic violence shelters and who are under duress. The backpacks they provide help to relieve some of the stress and anxiety children face when they are removed from their family, often in traumatic situations and without the opportunity to take any personal belongings with them. They are a sister charity to Backpacks 4 Aussie Kids.

Catherine House – Support for Women Experiencing Homelessness

Catherine House provides Emergency Accommodation and support services for women experiencing homelessness in South Australia. This Christmas, many women in South Australia won’t have a home to go to. This may be because of domestic violence, unemployment, relationship breakdowns or mental illness.

They currently have an influx of women aged 36-44 needing the support of Catherine House, so please make a Christmas donation.

Dulcie’s Bus

Since Dulcie’s Bus hit the road in 2013, she’s raised over $250,000 for The Hutt Street Centre and Centacare. The op shop and second-hand community is all about re-using, recycling, repairing and reselling beautiful vintage pieces all whilst raising funds for charity. The two organisations use the money to fund their service delivery to survivors of domestic violence and homelessness with all profits being distributed evenly to the two charity partners.

In December 2020, off the back of the global pandemic and aftermath of COVID-19, Dulcie’s Bus was parked and the very first Dulcie’s Shop was opened on Grange Road.

Foundation21 

foundation21 is a non profit organisation which seeks to enhance and support existing services and to raise the public’s awareness of the positive contributions individuals with Down syndrome make in our community. At present, their focus is providing funding for speech therapy. It has been widely published that to maximise communication development in children with Down syndrome they should receive early and continuing instruction.

Guardian Angel Rescue

Guardian Angel are a no-kill rescue based in Adelaide and aim to make the adoption process simple and straight forward. The not-for-profit organisation who specialise in dogs with anxiety, aggression, reactivity, lack of obedience, manners and much more.

With Love Formal Wear

With Love Formal Wear is an Adelaide non-profit organisation that gifts donated Year 12 and Year 7 Formal Wear at no charge to students experiencing financial hardship. Donations are accepted on the Second Saturday of each month at their Pop Up Boutique in Salisbury South. Donations are also accepted at Golden Grove, Grange and Blackwood by negotiation. Any items related to formal wear for young people that are gently used and is in ready to wear condition including dresses/ suits/ blazers/ shirts/ long pants of all sizes and styles, formal shoes, clutches and handbags, jewellery, tiaras and hair accessories, nail varnish, vests, ties and belts.

Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation

The Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation is a not for profit organisation that makes potentially life-saving impacts on children in extremely disadvantaged communities. 

The foundation believes in the medicine of sport and provides access to diverse sports, facilities and equipment. It also provides free ongoing coaching programs and mentoring. 

The organisation relies on community support, and for just $100 the Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation can provide a sporting program for one disadvantaged child for a whole year.

Dulcie’s

Dulcie’s Bus was started from the desire to raises funds for survivors of domestic violence and homelessness by selling vintage and second-hand clothing. Not only does this help survivors of DV and homelessness, but also reduces landfill. 

In December 2020, Dulcie’s Bus was parked and the very first Dulcie’s shop was opened.

Make a donation this Christmas to help someone in need or pick yourself up a new party dress for the festive season from the shop!

Dulcie’s is located on 326 Grange Road, Kidman Park. Open Wednesday- Saturday, 10am-5pm.
