A Heavenly Food And Wine Event Hits Stunning South Australian Region

If the sound of cheese and wine excites you, you should probably read on…

We love nothing more than the fantastic news of another food/wine event… It is like heavenly music to our ears (and tastebuds). This time we are looking at the stunning Langhorne Creek region and their annual Springtime event, Out Of The Barrel.

This cracking event sees the cellar doors around Langhorne Creek show off their wares including some sneak peeks at new and special release wines.

Did we mention that you will also have the chance to bottle your own wine, experience a cheese and wine pairing masterclass, to taste wines straight from the barrel and even have a tutored tasting…

Be a part of the tradition of turning grapes into wine through a personal bottling experience at Angas Plains Wines. What an amazing experience! And how special to pull out a bottle of wine that you helped produce at your next party.

Love cheese? Love wine? Always wanted to know how to pair them perfectly? Well The Winehouse are offering a taste experience unlike any other with a wine and cheese pairing masterclass. This masterclass will be hosted by one of the great winemakers represented by the Winehouse with cheeses from our fave, Woodside Cheese Wrights.

Looking to kick it old school in between all the wine drinking and cheese eating, well Bleasdale have you covered…  You can sign up for a guided historic tour of the Bleasdale Old Press with included tutored tastings of new release red, white and fortified wines. Learning whilst drinking. That sounds fab to us. They will also have delicious picnic plates and new release wines available by the glass or bottle.

Temple Bruer Organic Wine will be ‘popping’ up at the Langhorne Creek Memorial Hall to give visitors a taste of their fabulously organic and preservative free wines with their pop up cellar door. You can hear from the winemakers themselves and learn about their unique craft whilst sampling soon to be released wines straight from the barrel. Let us at it!

Luncheon platters. Gourmet pizzas. Wine. Need we say anymore? Visit Bremerton during this amazing event and enjoy tasty food and wine while taking in the beautiful aesthetics of the historic stone barn cellar door. Taste the future as you experience barrel samples from soon to be released wine.

At Lake Breeze you’ll have a sneak peek at the 2014 reds straight out of barrel and taste them alongside the current 2013 vintage. It’s a great opportunity to line these wines up alongside each other and taste the differences. While you’re there, sit back and enjoy the gorgeous view out over the vineyard and enjoy a long lunch with their regional platters and Spring menu.

Rusticana have once again teamed up with Two Hills and a Creek to provide an amazing lunch experience. Enjoy the foods, the scenery, and most of all some fantastic pre-release wine. Taste soon to be released Zinfandel and Duriff wines and be ahead of the game.

Brothers in Arms are taking the Langhorne Creek Out of the Barrel experience and bringing it to Strathalbyn. They will open the doors to the Old Grain Store in Strathalbyn for pop-up wine tasting including their Side by Side Malbec.

So after all that, you will be wondering when all of this positively glorious goodness is all happening…
