Ogre Brewing Co. is the latest addition to grace McLaren Vale’s Main Street, and no it’s not named after everyone’s favourite green Ogre, the name comes from a small town in Latvia where the brewer’s family originated from.
Well, what can you expect from the new, rightfully named, taphouse and restaurant? Ogre Brewing Co. will be slinging big, friendly beer crafted naturally.
All of the beers made are done so using traditional methods inspired by the family’s Latvian roots.
The beer taps (arguably the most essential piece of equipment in the whole building) were installed just the other day and Ogre owner, Matt, is gearing up for a big opening day.
The establishment is set to open in the coming weeks.
It won’t long before you are sampling some of Ogre’s natural crafted beers. Think a mouthwatering selection of pale ales, amber ales, smoked porters and all the hoppy goodness your tastebuds can only imagine.
The new taphouse sits in the former-long-standing McLaren Vale eatery, The Barn. Ogre Brewing Co. is breathing new life into the establishment and will be serving up a modern fare of tasty dishes for lunch and dinner paired with a variety of fresh, handcrafted Ogre beers.
Ogre will have a variety of local wines and spirits to tide you over, PLUS a private dining area to celebrate those special moments.
