A luxe sparkling wine festival is arriving in Adelaide CBD for one glamorous winter afternoon

Adelaide’s sparkling wine lovers are in for a treat, with The Bubbles Festival returning this June for a stylish afternoon of champagne, sparkling wine, canapés and tastings at Ayers House.

If there’s ever a telltale sign of a friend group that knows how to have fun, it’s the ones who need very little convincing to pop a cork, pour something crisp and bright, and turn an ordinary afternoon into a load of fun.

It’s those friends that you’re going to want to call for the 2026 return of Adelaide’s premier sparkling wine event.

The Bubbles Festival is back in Adelaide for 2026, bringing a two-hour celebration of champagne, sparkling wine, canapés and a whole heap of fun to the stunning surrounds of Ayers House on Saturday 6 June.

Ayer’s House

While the name might say festival, this is less about wandering a paddock with a plastic cup and more about dressing up, sipping something special, and discovering your next favourite bottle in one very stylish setting.

The event is organised by The Bubbles Review, a multi-award-winning blog and website dedicated to champagne and sparkling wine. It was founded by Melbourne entrepreneur and international best-selling author Natalie Pickett, who launched the platform in 2016 to share the stories, techniques, history and joy behind great bubbles.

“I think that champagne and sparkling wine are one of the joys of life and something to be shared,” Natalie said. “We love bringing all of these superb sparkling wines together with our followers at The Bubbles Festival”.

Each ticket includes a curated list of 10 or more sparkling wine tastings, canapés, tasting notes and a Riedel Champagne tasting glass for each attendee. Guests will also have the chance to meet and chat with producers and distributors, with South Australian sparkling wines set to feature strongly across the tasting list.

For those wanting to make the experience even more special, a VIP ticket upgrade is available for $75. This includes priority access, a private tasting of a special cuvee before doors open, and a Riedel Extreme Champagne glass twin pack valued at $105. Five dollars from every VIP upgrade ticket will also be donated to Adelaide’s Heart and Soul group.

That sense of celebration has shaped The Bubbles Festival for almost a decade, with Natalie turning The Bubbles Review’s online community into an ultra popular in-person event for sparkling wine lovers.

After The Bubbles Review’s sparkling wine content built a dedicated following, the idea for a boutique event was born. The first Bubbles Festival was held in Melbourne in 2017, and since then it has grown into a national event series, drawing sold-out crowds across Australia.

Adelaide first joined the fun in 2021, and organisers say many of those original guests now return year after year. In 2026, the festival is moving to a new Adelaide home at Ayers House, adding a fresh sense of occasion to the city’s sparkling winter social calendar.
