Peter Teakle Wines, a staple of the Eyre Peninsula wine region, has recently announced their rebrand to Teakle Wines, unveiling a refreshing new identity while honouring the legacy of founder Peter Teakle.
This rebrand was the last project that Peter Teakle and his son Ben worked on before Peter’s unexpected passing in June 2024. The rebrand embodies their shared ambition to create a winery that reflects the essence of the Eyre Peninsula while continuing to evolve for future generations.
βWe are proud to carry forward my fatherβs vision”, says Ben Teakle, Managing Director. “While our wines will continue to evolve with the climate, our commitment to quality will never waver.”

Their new logo draws inspiration from the barrel-shaped architecture of Teakle Wines’ cellar door in Port Lincoln. They hope that guests who attend their rebrand launch will view the new identity as part of the winery’s ongoing dedication to “delivering premium wines and exceptional experiences that reflect
the beauty of the Eyre Peninsula.”
Beyond the rebrand, Teakle Wines continues to look towards the future, with sustainability representing a key focus for the winery. With projects like the installation of a 100-kilowatt solar system and the expansion of their rainwater storage to 1.4 million litres, the team has set their sights on becoming a net zero carbon emitter by 2030.
βOur future lies in respecting the land and ensuring our practices support both the environment and our community,β says Ben.

The timing of this rebrand coincides with another milestone for Teakle Wines, who are celebrating their first Trophy. Their 2024 Teakle Wines Sauvignon Blanc recently won the best in its category at the Winewise Small Vignerons Awards.
βThis recognition underscores the quality of the Eyre Peninsulaβs fruit,β says winemaker Elizabeth Heidenreich. βItβs a proud moment for our team and highlights the potential of our region on the national stage.β
Established in 2016 by Peter Teakle, Teakle Wines has become a cornerstone of the Eyre Peninsulaβs wine and culinary scene. Known for his generosity and visionary leadership, Peter left an indelible mark on the Eyre Peninsula through his dedication to the wine industry and his numerous philanthropic efforts.
When Peter passed away in June 2024, Ben took up the mantle as the winery’s Managing Director. Now, the new name and logo celebrates his father’s legacy while ushering in a new chapter for the winery.

βThis rebrand celebrates everything he stood for, and launching it with the new vintage is a fitting way to honour his memory.β
“Our name now reflects not just where weβve come from but where weβre headed. The focus remains the same: crafting wines that speak of the Eyre Peninsula, pushing boundaries, and ensuring every bottle we produce is something weβre proud of.”
As they enter a new chapter, Teakle Wines remain committed to crafting premium wines and delivering experiences that connect their visitors with the distinct beauty of the region. You can find their uniquely shaped cellar door at 31 Whillas Road, Port Lincoln.
