South Australia just welcomed a new design identity, one that trades cookie-cutter modern interiors for warmth, texture, and worldly inspiration.
Introducing The Zuri Project, a holistic and cohesive interior design and styling studio bringing a new interpretation of modern luxury to Adelaide’s homes and boutique spaces. Founded in 2024 by designer and stylist Neesha, the studio takes on everything from custom residential builds to high-end commercial destinations, transforming spaces through a cohesive creative vision from the very beginning to the final styled moment.
Interior styling can be exciting, but for most of us, distilling a clear vision and coordinating endless suppliers, furniture orders, and finishing touches very quickly becomes overwhelming. The Zuri Project was created to simplify the whole process.
“I kept seeing people who wanted really beautiful, considered spaces,” says the creative director. “But they felt overwhelmed — there were too many decisions, too many suppliers, and they weren’t sure how everything would come together. Zuri was created to make the whole experience feel calm, guided and imaginative.”

With a background spanning construction, design and styling, transforming spaces feels almost instinctive to the Zuri team.
“I’ve always loved transforming spaces-playing with balance, colour, layering, and bringing different design styles together in a way that feels cohesive,” Neesha shares.
That instinct has evolved into an end-to-end service and a passion project through and through. Unlike studios that focus only on design concepts or décor sourcing, Zuri does all of it – creative direction, furniture specification, custom pieces, lighting, artwork and the final layered styling. It’s what the team calls “fully integrated.” You have the idea, and The Zuri Project takes it from there.
“It’s a complete journey, not a shopping list,” the team tell us. “Everything is handled with one creative vision, and everything is chosen to support the mood and identity we’re building for that individual space.”

The Zuri aesthetic – warm, sculptural, modern, textural and luxurious – sits between global influence and locally grounded. Driven by feeling, Neesha isn’t afraid of colour or personality, and her styling feels almost like a quiet rebellion against the industrial – often sterile – minimalism that’s saturated the design world in recent years.
“I draw inspiration from travel, boutique hotels, international design, fashion and the feeling of being in spaces that are beautifully crafted,” Neesha says. “I love the interplay between minimal and expressive details — calming palettes with statement pieces, refined silhouettes with tactile materials. I wanted to bring a new interpretation of luxury -one that’s not loud, but deeply layered.”

Custom pieces complete the vision – sofas, stone tables, lighting and water features tailored exactly to the space.
“I work closely with talented makers to create custom pieces tailored specifically to each project — from sculptural sofas to stone tables to artisan-made lighting,” says the creative director. “Nothing is filler. Every piece has a purpose. Not just in how it looks — but how it makes life feel.”
Projects are priced per scope, based on design development and level of involvement. Many clients also choose full furniture and décor procurement to ensure consistency and a premium finish.

The demand for luxury styling is already here. Developers, homeowners and hotel operators are seeking a more distinctive design identity, and many are already turning to Zuri to deliver it.
“We have had the opportunity to work with clients building custom homes, owners wanting something truly unique, and private individuals seeking a transformation of their existing spaces,” says the Zuri creative team.
They say the devil’s in the detail, and the Zuri team believe their devotion to curating every moment of a space is what positions the studio not only within a new era of modern Australian luxury, but also among the creative forces shaping what comes next.
“We’re just getting started,” they conclude. “Seeing South Australians embrace this new interpretation of luxury — that’s the exciting part. Zuri is here to bring a new level of emotional connection to SA design.”
Zuri’s 2026 project calendar is already filling, with expressions of interest now open for residential, commercial and hospitality styling.
