A New Evolution Towards Health Conscious Fast Food

Bing Boy are one of the first fast food companies to show that health conscious menu improvements doesn’t have to mean freeze dried ingredients or cardboard flavours.

When you’re walking through town with half a dozen shopping bags, legs slowly tiring and it’s well past lunch time, you’re going to do it. You’re going to order fast food. And probably feel guilty about it later.

But it seems companies are realising this and while certain salads might still taste like they were once freeze-dried cardboard, at least they’re trying, right?

Well, they should try harder. And Bing Boy are on to it with their newest menu options. Now, we’re not putting this down as a culinary experience – a spade is a spade. But they’re improving their recipes and their ingredients in all the right ways. Working alongside Billy & Co, the same crew who helped shape, amongst other projects, the Cibo Locale menu, it’s a pleasant and welcome surprise to see the new options you can grab on the go.

Bing Boy

Moving beyond their standard Chinese crepe affair, Bing Boy will now freshly preparing dumplings in house to order, which actually makes for a very fun couple of minutes watching their preparation. Bing In A Bowl takes the flavours of their menu and reworks them with brown rice as a new base alongside fresh lashings of herbs and salad toppings. There are also health conscious smaller Bings and boxes for children, but perhaps the most exciting new addition is that all their wraps now come with a gluten free option that actually tastes delicious. What a massive step forward.

Commendably, there’s not a single addition to the Bing Boy range that doesn’t fit their new healthy brief. New house prepared tea offerings also add welcome variety to the beverage menu. So next time you’re stuck for a meal, consider Bing Boy as more than just Chinese street food.
