New steak and Korean eatery BB Steak & Korean Tasty has opened on Gawler Place with flavourful eats.

Co-owner James Kim says there are popular Korean dishes such as pork Ja Jang noodles and bulgogi barbecue, and the aptly named BB Steak & Korean Tasty also has an entire menu dedicated to steak.

They also have their liquor licence and serve up lots of soju flavours.

BB Steak & Korean Tasty comes from Kim, the owner of BB Steak House, which was a go-to in the City Cross food court for ten years, and the owner of former Japanese spot O’Ramen O’Bento, also a City Cross favourite.

The owners have teamed up to start a joint restaurant, which Kim says is a slightly more upscale version of their previous eateries.

“The food is a similar, reasonable price, but the quality is higher and wish new, fresher suppliers,” Kim says.

BB Steak & Korean Tasty has a straight-forward fit out with glazed wooden tables, all of which are recycled and environmentally friendly.

The co-owner is excited to share the new space and updated menu with customers from his previous eatery.

“I’m most excited to show our loyal customers our new concept and upgraded restaurant,” Kim says.
