Popular Adelaide cocktail haunts Power Up and The Sorcerer’s Bar are gaining a sister venue, in brand new establishment The Caribbean Bar, opening this weekend, just in time for Halloween!
Dress up as a pirate for their grand opening and receive a free shot with any drink purchased! Other opening specials include limited edition cocktails (you can keep the cup!), $12 pint Hawaiian draft beer, gold ale and island lager.
Opening at 26 Bank Street, the venue will be a celebration of all things ‘yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum’, as Adelaide’s first dedicated Pirate-themed rum and whiskey bar, serving a plethora of Captain Hook approved spirits as well as small plates of delicious tapas on offer.
Situated perfectly, next door to cocktail wizards and sister venue The Sorcerer’s Bar, the large bar will cater for up to 65 patrons with interiors channelling a dark and stormy vibe. Curved oak walls, whiskey barrel tables and a wood bar adorned with thick chains as well as ornate mermaid doorknobs will evoke the atmosphere of the inside of an 1800’s pirate ship.
Owned by sibling duo Than Rattanakosit and sister Tira, their themed venues are well-known and well-loved across Adelaide for their inventive and colourful cocktails including pints of Harry Potter’s favourite beverage, Butterbeer and a Basilisk Bile winter special at The Sorcerer’s Bar.
The Caribbean Bar will also be offering lunch and evening small plate dining options including finger food style tapas with German and soul food influences, with tasty dishes such as epic hot dogs, cheesy fries and spicy chicken wings on offer.
The new venue comes as part of the government’s investment into the renovation of Bank Street, with a host of new venues set to position the street as one of Adelaide’s go-to party locations, alongside the popular Leigh and Peel St.
With a curated selection of over 35 of the best rums from around the world and 20 rare whiskeys The Caribbean Bar is set to delight those looking for a brand new spot for delicious food and tasty tipples, especially those who are dedicated fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
