Screen Shot 2014-09-03 at 10.03.51 amThis year’s A Night of Fashion at the Art Gallery will have its very own special French touch!

The Alliance Française d’Adelaïde, SA’s leading French language and cultural centre, has partnered up with IFA Paris, a worldwide renowned fashion design school, to bring French Fashion to Adelaide.

Five garments, designed by 5 IFA designer students, have carefully been selected by Attitude Magazine and will be showcased on the runway.

The director of Alliance Française d’Adelaïde, Jean-Christophe Trentinella, says that “the mission of the Alliance Française d’Adelaïde is to promote French language and culture and what better way to do this than through fashion? Paris has always been the capital of ‘Haute Couture’ and a lot of fashion terms are French. We thought we could add our French touch to the Night of Fashion by bringing IFA’s fashion designs Down Under. We are very proud to be able to contribute to the Night of Fashion, a major event that puts Adelaide on the fashion map”.

Partner IFA Paris is at the forefront of French fashion and luxury education and is the place to be to “Learn the French way of seeing fashion as art”. The school breeds young design talents and commits to turning them into professionals with the skills, knowledge and flair required to become leaders in international fashion and luxury companies.
