Overlooking the beautiful Hurtle Square in Adelaide’s CBD is A Prayer for the Wild at Heart—a modern brasserie-style restaurant combining a warm, welcoming atmosphere with delicious French-influenced cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This November, the team at A Prayer for the Wild at Heart are excited to launch their new series of dinners, aptly called ‘Two Chefs, Two Ways’, which will bring together two talented chefs with different techniques and cultural backgrounds, collaborating and creating a delicious meal together.

Owner Emily Raven says, ‘Our team is really looking forward to collaborating and learning about new flavours and techniques from the best.’
In the spirit of sharing knowledge and bringing people together to connect over food, the Emma McCaskill collab dinner will feature 8 sumptuous courses that promise to satisfy the tastebuds and tummies of each guest.

Pairing with Wild at Heart’s head chef Stéphane Brizard (who originates from Brittany in the northwest region of France) for the first event on Saturday, the 25th of November, is the highly acclaimed chef Emma McCaskill.
For the last 19 years, Emma has forged a hugely successful international career at restaurants including Narisawa (Tokyo), Sat Bains (Nottingham), Tetsuya’s (Sydney), Ezard (Melbourne), Penfolds Magill Estate (Adelaide), The Pot by Emma McCaskill (Adelaide) and Sparkke at the Whitmore (Adelaide) as well as a stint as talent curator for Tasting Australia.
As the name of the event suggests, both chefs will create dishes that reflect their unique cultural heritage and culinary skillset, presenting a dish for each course throughout the dinner.
Dishes start with snacks such as Home-made Breton sausage on potato galette with calvados and macerated apple, a Bhusawal sandwich (white bread, aloo and masala curry, caramelised onion), and continue with Spencer Gulf King prawns, Kangaroo Island Scallops and more from the best of South Australia.

To complement the experience, sommelier Mathilde Tytgat, who was recently awarded by The Australian Wine List of the Year, has curated an optional wine pairing, with each wine being chosen to elevate the evening’s dishes and flavours.
