A retro gaming themed bar is opening on Leigh Street

Dust off your Game Boy and transport yourself to a retro gaming wonderland with the soon to open, Power Up Bar.

Situated on Leigh Street, Power Up Bar is sure to hit you with nostalgic feels, having been heavily influenced by the likes of Mario, Sonic and Pacman.

Power Up Bar is the brainchild of Than and Tira Rattanakosit, also responsible for wizard-themed The Sorcerer’s Bar.

“Our idea was to create something different again like we have with The Sorcerer’s Bar, and bring greater attention to Adelaide’s nightlife,” expains Than.

“We want to take advantage of the fact that Adelaide is privileged compared to other places in terms of getting back on track to normal life, businesses, and nightlife.”

Patrons will find a wide range of gaming-themed cocktails on the menu, as well as a range of Japanese and local craft beers.

‘The bar will be able to sit 20 inside, and around 15 outside.

Power Up Bar is due to open in spring this year.
