If you’re a lover of gin, jazz, or both, swing by Plant 4 Bowden next Saturday for their smooth, swanky ‘Gin N Jazz’ night returning for the third year in a row.
On Saturday 12 March from 5-6pm, guests will be treated to free gin tastings during happy hour from some of SA’s finest distilleries.
Take a nip and listen to distilling stories from 36 Short Spirits, Ambra Spirits, Little Juniper Distilling, Prohibition Liquor Co, Red Hen Spirits and Threefold Distilling.
From 6pm, your ears will also be titillated by the sensational sounds of The Chelsea Lee Quartet, led by 2021 South Australian Music Awards Finalist, Chelsea Lee.
Chelsea Lee has been described as a “confident and captivating” performer, who had travelled to New York in 2017 to receive The Helpmann Academy’s Mike Stewart Memorial Award.
Now, Chelsea continues to bring a little bit of New York to venues across Adelaide, such as New Orleans inspired bar, NOLA.
The modern jazz quartet is filled with many award-winning Australian musicians and writers, such as Tyler Venter, Dave McEvoy, and Cam Tonkin, so that night is bound to be a hit.
Listen as the quartet interprets some of America’s greatest songs from the jazz era, as well as jazz interpretations of later music from bands such as Radiohead and The Beach Boys.
As you sip on some delicious, SA-made gin, don’t forget to peruse the many, multicultural eateries that will be on offer throughout the evening.
If you’re not a gin lover, there’s also a selection of SA wine, local craft beer, kombucha, cold pressed juice, other spirits, and cocktails all available throughout the night.
