A Woodcroft cafe has taken out the title of ‘South Australia’s Best Babyccino’

A suburban cafe has taken out the top spot on Kids in Adelaide’s best babyccino in South Australia list for 2025.

A suburban cafe has been awarded a title that’s almost too cute to handle, ‘South Australia’s Best Babyccino 2025’.

Woodcroft’s Grazing in the Valley has taken out the top spot, beating some seriously frothy competition. The annual award, run by Kids in Adelaide, invites the public to vote for their favourite babyccinos across Adelaide and beyond, and this year, the little southern gem charmed voters with its extra special drink and delicious attention to detail.

The Grazing in the Valley cafe has only been open for a few months, but in that time, it has managed to impress its pint-sized patrons and their parents with a pretty epic babyccino. It’s a small but mighty honour that really reflects the cafe’s big love for its community and for making even the tiniest guests feel special. And since its grand opening earlier this year, it’s clear to see that the community has found love for a new spot and really embraced it.

“I can’t believe it. I’m still a bit in shock,” shared Emma from the Grazing in the Valley team. “We’ve had so many people around us, showing so much support. I can’t believe how many votes came in for our babyccino the other night. People I’ve never even met before, or who’ve briefly come into the cafe, were sharing our posts all night long and rallying for people to vote for us.
It was just incredible.”

Made with local milk, chocolate powder and topped with sprinkles, chocolate and of course, mini marshmallows, this babyccino is what dreams are made of.

“It’s served in a full-sized cup and made with vegan Novo Mundo hot chocolate. We use Fleurieu milk and top it with sprinkles and marshmallows.

“We have alternative milks for those who don’t want dairy, and can adjust them to make it for how the customer likes.”

Emma says that this has been made through trial and error to be just how her kids like it!

This fun twist on your usual babyccino is what makes it so popular. Emma says the community has been so welcoming since they opened, and to have their support like this is just fabulous.

Grazing in the Valley has been around for the past few years, catering grazing tables and boxes for events around the state. But January saw owner Emma officially open her very own cafe, offering specialty grazing options alongside your favourite cafe treats and local coffee.

In-store, you can now grab their mini catering boxes, great coffee, food, drinks, and sweets. This also serves as the home for the catering side of the business, so if you’re in need of grazing boxes, tables, or spreads, this is your one-stop shop.

Since their opening, they’ve been awarded a ‘golden bean’ by Responsible Cafes, and have implemented many new procedures to reduce waste, a swap cup system, grow free cart, home compostable cups, and joined Too Good to Go. They’re also offering a 50c discount on barista-made drinks if customers bring their own cup.

Joining Grazing in the Valley in the top three for SA’s best were Lil Mamma’s Cafe in Gawler and The Wistow on High in Strathalbyn. Last year’s winner, Village Grounds in Alberton, took out the fourth spot, and Long Shot & Co. in Noarlunga came in fifth.
