Put your leg warmers on Adelaide because Westfield Marion is taking us back to the ’80s as they transform into a retro pop-up diner for their Taste. Shop. Play Weekend.
Making the most of the first weekend of Spring, across the 7 and 8 of September, you can experience all the fads from the past with a number of fun events and activities that will cater for all ages.
Relive one of the best decades and experience a new twist on old favourites with activities including hair crimping, glamour beauty bars (with lots of glitter), kids hip hop classes and flash mobs.
Grow down and back in time cause you’ll feel like you’re part of the Stranger Things gang as you enjoy the epic full-scale pop-up Arcade that will offer all the classic retro games like Pacman, NBA Jam and Mario Kart.
There will also be a DJ playing all your favourite music from the ’80s and ’90s.
Numerous retailers in the shopping centre will also be taking part in the festivities, offering customers special promotions over the two days.
TGI Friday’s will be serving us plenty of Insta worthy moments as well as free pink fairy floss martinis (as featured), beef sliders and milkshakes.
Hungry for chips? Grill’d has you covered, supplying free tastings of their delicious sweet potato and zucchini chips.
And if you want to relax after a day of shopping, then head on over to L’Occitane who will give you a much-deserved free hand massage!
Jurlique will also be treating us with a face spritz station. So, delight your face to their famous balancing and hydrating mists. Don’t mind if we do!
Finally, there will also be an exciting Lush station, where you can get hands-on and make your own bath bombs and face mask.
Adelaide’s first ever ’80s inspired diner is looking good, so make sure you take a step back in time and head down to Westfield Marion next weekend.
Dates: Saturday 7t September 11am – 3pm & Sunday 8 September 12pm – 3pm.
You can find Westfield Marion at 297 Diagonal Rd, Oaklands Park SA.
