A new Art Wine Series by artist Miranda Lloyd and God’s Hill Wines is launching, and the wine labels are stunning.

Art and wine are two pleasures that have been shared and cherished by humanity for centuries. These timeless forms of expression come together once again in an exciting new collaboration between celebrated local artist Miranda Lloyd and award-winning winemaker Charlie Scalzi of God’s Hill Wines.

Miranda Lloyd’s dazzling artistry first captured Charlie Scalzi’s attention a decade ago at the National Wine Centre of Australia. Inspired by her work, Scalzi incorporated her artwork “Wine Glasses” and “The Vine” into the labels of his 2012 Chardonnay and 2011 Shiraz, creating the iconic “Divine” series. This successful collaboration left both the art and wine enthusiasts clamouring for more.

Miranda Lloyd, a renowned artist and surfer, creates vibrant, abstract pieces that bring the beauty of the outdoors inside, capturing nature’s lines, shapes, and colours. Her collaborations with God’s Hill Wines reflect her modern, impressionistic style and love for the natural world.

After a decade-long hiatus, the magic has been recaptured with the “The Birds of God’s Hill, 2022 Single Vineyard Shiraz”. This series, set to launch in July 2023, beautifully showcases Miranda’s textured original bird artworks, including the Magpie, Galahs, Kookaburra, Rainbow Lorikeets, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, and the Rondine (Swallow), mirroring the natural diversity found at God’s Hill Vineyards.

Each 6-pack purchase of the Shiraz will come with a certificate of authenticity, confirming that the artwork on the labels are original pieces by Miranda Lloyd. Wine lovers and art aficionados alike can pre-order this limited series, replete with the richness of Barossa Valley’s fertile soil and Scalzi’s winemaking heritage, for $150 per 6-pack, with each bottle encapsulating the perfect blend of art and craftsmanship.

God’s Hill Wines, a family-owned boutique winery, is famed for its fine selection of red and white wines. Situated in the lush Poonawatta region, the vineyard is tended by three generations of Scalzi winemakers who continue a winemaking tradition deeply rooted in their Italian heritage.
