Yes, you read that correctly. A Teletubbies-themed bar is coming to Adelaide, and we can’t wait to live out all of our childhood dreams.
Most 90s kids know of the British children’s television series that dominated TV screens from 1997 to 2001. Now you can get tipsy with Dipsy, have a drinky with Tinky-Winky, laugh with Laa Laa and party on with Po.
The Hidden Media Network – known for producing immersive events all over the US, Australia, Canada, and the UK – has been inspired by the program’s “Tubbytronic Superdome” and is recreating its colourful psychedelic setting for adults.
In a secret location, Adelaideans will be invited to enter a real-life Telletubbyland and experience an exclusive event inside the Telletubbies’ Home Dome.
With tickets starting at $10, you can expect 90 minutes of unexpected joyful Teletubbies-themed fun, including a Tubby Custard cocktail (or mocktail) on arrival and ‘Tubby Toast’.
As the sun-baby on the horizon giggles, guests will also be treated to a DJ spinning some 90s throwbacks, nostalgic fun and games, Tubby surprises and more!
While we don’t know any more details about this surprise event or if Teletubbies will be there in the flesh, it certainly seems like something worth finding out.
The Teletubbies bar will be in Adelaide from Sunday 31 July to Saturday 31 December 2022.
