De Lisio Wines will lead you through carefully selected and matched premium boutique food and wine by delving into a specially designed ten-course Sea & Vines degustation menu by Chef Robert Yates of Decant Restaurant. Discover the art of wine tasting at Stump Hill Gallery, in the main street of McLaren Vale as you compare vintages, varieties, regions and techniques side-by-side in a guided food and wine experience on Saturday 6 June 2015.

This is an experience you won’t find at any other time of the year, with wines you can’t buy in a bottle shop. After a lightning-fast 2015 vintage, Winemaker Tony De Lisio and Assistant Winemaker Anthony De Lisio (keeping it in the family) have quickly been able to turn their attention back to the magnificent wines coming up through the ranks. Ready for release are new premium wines in the De Lisio range, and a cracking 2010 ‘Covert’ Shiraz, the 2009 vintage of which sold out at last year’s Sea & Vines Festival.

Through a fully guided degustation evening, guests will taste a range of museum stock, aged wines, premium blends and varietals, and new releases. Tasting will showcase popular varieties, with a distinct McLaren Vale flavour, as well as identify characteristics across types of oak, toast levels and barrel size.

The hard yards of tasting, comparing and matching have been done, to create a menu which complements the wine tasting experience and creates challenging and audacious combinations. Chef Robert Yates presents the best local produce and seafood and completely immerses you in the mouth-watering and exclusive dining experience he has brought to Decant Restaurant.
