Seacliff Beach Hotel––“The Cliff” to locals––is serving up triple parmi stackers as March’s food challenge. The massive meal includes three 350gm chicken parmis, double chips, double salad, and double gravy.
“So far, it has defeated everyone who has tried it,” says Simon Williams, Seacliff Beach Hotel’s venue manager.
“However, it is running for the whole of March, so we hope we have some people complete it.”
The pub has run monthly food challenges, such as a 2-foot hot dog, waffle and chicken stack, and mega burger tower, for six months. Customers have been loving the competitions.
“We have been hosting food challenges since we reopened after the COVID-19 shutdown last year as a fun way to bring people back into the venue,” Williams says. “They have been popular since.”
The Cliff is known for its pub food, beers and ciders, beach views, and live music. At $35 for the huge meal, competitions are now, of course, another draw.
Competition winners get bragging rights and a free beer––if they still have room.
