Iconic rock band AC/DC is set to headline the Sunday night concert at the bp Adelaide Grand Final on 30 November 2025. This performance marks a significant moment as the band returns to Adelaide for the first time in ten years, joining part of their 2025 POWER UP Tour.
The tour, named after their 2020 album ‘POWER UP,’ saw a spectacular reception worldwide, debuting at #1 on the ARIA Chart in Australia and in 20 other countries. In 2024, the launch of the tour in Europe resulted in sales of 1.7 million tickets within the initial days, finally reaching over two million tickets sold across 24 shows. The band has just wrapped up ten sold-out shows in North America and is set to perform 15 additional shows in Europe before returning to Australia.
AC/DC, comprising Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson as vocalist, Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney, has been celebrated as one of the most influential rock groups, selling over 200 million albums globally. Their album ‘Back In Black’ has been recognised as the bestselling album by any band ever, with 50 million copies sold worldwide.
The Sunday concert at the bp Adelaide Grand Final will also see performances by Amyl and the Sniffers as special guests. The day prior, Lenny Kravitz, along with the ARIA Award-winning rock band Jet, will headline the Saturday night concert.
Tickets for the Sunday activities of the bp Adelaide Grand Final, which include the day’s racing events followed by the AC/DC concert, go on sale from 10am on Thursday, 26 June, through Ticketmaster. Adult general admission starts at $99.
The event promises an exhilarating blend of high-speed motorsport and high-voltage rock performances, set against the backdrop of Adelaide’s vibrant city centre. The lineup for this grand event aims to draw a significant audience, not only of local fans but also those travelling to follow the international rock legends.
