Gibson is the sole representative from the NBL. “It’s been a focus for me since the end of the NBL season and I couldn’t be happier to be part of the Boomers again” said Gibson.
Gibson first represented Australia in 2005 at the FIBA Under-21 World Championships and was also part of the 2010 FIBA World Champs team and the 2012 London Olympic team.
The Boomers depart for Europe on Tuesday 5 August where they will play a nine game tournament in Lithuania before stops in Helsinki and Strasbourg on route to Spain.
Adelaide born Joe Ingles and Brad Newley are also part of the Boomers team.
