The one and only Adam Hills is headed to Adelaide as quizmaster in what is sure to be the most hilarious Quiz event for 2015.
Add to the mix Adam’s good mate, the hilarious Irish comic Eddie Bannon as MC, and the laughs will be fast and furious at the 5th annual John Vincent memorial Big Quiz event to be held at the Arkaba Hotel on June 21st 2015
Ironically the event was created originally to honour radio legend John Vincent. It’s been MC’d since inception by another recently departed radio and rock legend – David ‘Daisy’ Day whose Memorial Service packed the Arkaba top room with Adelaide’s radio and music industry just a few days ago.
Adam was a colleague of both Vinnie and Daisy at SAFM. Each year he makes a special time to be in Adelaide for this annual event to back not only his old mates but show his support, as ambassador, for Support Act Inc* SA, an organisation founded by Daisy and which is the recipient of funds raised on the day.
Adam Hills said “coming back to Adelaide for this show every year is really important to me – Vinnie was such a great mate, it’s an honour to remember him every year in a way he would have loved. The memories of another great friend Daisy, who’s stood alongside me on stage at the gig for the past four years will be poignant but we will not forget his wicked sense of humour and that wonderful laugh. I look forward to seeing familiar and new faces for what promises to be a pretty memorable day”.
The John Vincent Memorial Big Quiz event is open to the public, media and music industry stalwarts with a desire to match wits and general knowledge in a session of madness, mayhem and hilarity. It will now honour the memories of two beloved members of the South Australian media and music industry who reached into the homes, offices and cars via the airwaves of so many Adelaide people. They gave us great memories and a heap of good times and laughter – this event gives it right back at them.
