Adelaide Roller Derby – Four teams, one league, ready to roll!
Time to get your kneepads on, mouthguards in and skates laced up, people of Adelaide; your favourite roller-girls are ready to hit the track for Season 2010!
This year promises to deliver more bone crunching, speed skating, jam-tastic all girl derby action than ever before.
During the offseason they’ve been training 40 new skaters and when this fresh meat hits the track Adelaide will be stunned by their appetite for destruction! This new breed of derby girl is a testament to just how tough this comp is getting as things heat up in derby land.
Along with the hot new skaters, all four teams have spanking new uniforms to unleash as well as a new brand line-up and the most exciting bit of news – a fourth team.
Fresh from the crypt the ARB gives you The Wild Hearses! These derby dames of death skate by the motto that they are just “Too deadly” and you can expect to see them to reap some sailor-ette souls when they debut against seasoned veterans The Salty Dolls on Sunday April 18th at the Adelaide Showground.
Derby fans have been holding their breath and setting cyberspace on fire in anticipation of the 2010 bout dates, so here they are:
Sunday 18th April: Salty Dolls vs. Wild Hearses
Sunday 2nd May: Mile Die Club vs. Salty Dolls
Saturday 8th May: Road Train Rollers vs. Wild Hearses
Saturday 29th May: Mile Die Club vs. Road Train Rollers
Saturday 10th July: Wild Hearses vs. Mile Die Club
Sunday 25th July: Salty Dolls vs. Road Train Rollers
ADRD FIRST EVER GRAND FINAL DOUBLE HEADER: Sunday 26th September
Yes that’s right, due to the overwhelming passion of the fans, for the first time ever Adelaide Roller Derby will be holding a Grand final double header event in which all four teams will skate to decide once and for all which time are Queens of the track!!
With sell out crowds becoming routine at ADRD bouts it’s recommended that fans avoid disappointment and use the pre-sale service through OZTIX www.oztix.com.au or call 1300 762 545, at only $10 per ticket (*booking fees may apply), the damage stays on the track.
All ADRD derby bouts will be held at the Adelaide Showground. Please enter through Rose Tce and be sure to get there early to save a good seat and stock up on the awesome new merchandise range.
