Adelaide Airport has snagged a top spot as one of Australia’s best airport dining destinations, clinching second place and leaving the heavyweights like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in the rearview.
While Cairns airport took out the top spot, new data has revealed Adelaide Airport scored 58.34 out of 100, standing out for its affordability, with meals averaging just $16.50 USD, far cheaper than Melbourne ($20.73) and Brisbane ($20.58).
Adelaide is also winning for serving up variety, with 2.11 unique food spots per million passengers, outshining Sydney (1.46) and Melbourne (1.57).
This data, gathered and analysed by the team at SEO for Restaurants, comes from a smorgasbord of sources including airport websites, passenger ratings, and traffic stats to find out which airports are really knocking it out of the park when it comes to food.

Adelaide Airport, which ranks as Australia’s fifth busiest airport, has received a lot of recognition recently, being named Capital City Airport of the Year at the Australian Airports Association National Airport Industry Awards in 2024.
